![]() | Difficult questions arise at some time for all artists. if you have art issues which you know need resolving, I may have an answer for you. I have helped my students define and develop their subject matter, find their medium and how to work with it, address the 'why' as well as the 'how' of their work, and develop their business practice to a more professional standard. I aim to combine frankness with encouragement and by and large this has worked well as you can judge by the paintings of my ex students and their comments. What I can do for you:
Who is it for? Practising and aspiring artists alike may submit their work About the service: Throughout my career as an artist I have taught part time, first in art sdhools and later in my studio. This has given me the freedom to be the kind of artist I want to be and distanced me from commercial pressures. In the late 80s I added a new activity: "Artists Advisory Service". Artists of very many kinds came by appointment with their portfolios to pick my brains and test my problem solving skills in private sessions. The present project combines these two practices. How it works The client may wish to telephone for a preliminary chat. A phone number is provided on the contact page. 1 The client decides to ask for a session and sends me an email stating art form practised, level of art education / career, and availability for a session of 50 minutes via Skype. 2 I reply with time and date, how to send images and payment instructions - (Paypal). I follow up with a confirmation of payment. 3 The client emails me on the day of the interview, sends visual material and his/her skype name I confirm having received visuals. 4 I call the client on Skype. Please make sure you have headphones available. iPod/mp3 type are fine for this. About Skype: A piece of free software in use on the internet that allows high quality voice communication and the rapid transfer of documents/written information.
